Desert Living Villa

Desert Living Villa is a completed full-scope luxury villa renovation located in the prestigious District One community, Mohammed Bin Rashid City, Dubai. VM Design • Build delivered this project end-to-end, across both interior and landscape, creating a deeply characterful residence that draws from Mediterranean and Andalusian design traditions, reinterpreted through a contemporary Gulf lens.

Landscape Design & Build
The landscape concept is the project's defining statement, a Mediterranean Oasis aesthetic that feels worlds away from the conventional Dubai villa garden. Warm white lime-rendered walls, hand-laid terracotta brick paving, and arched architectural niches with zellige tile detailing create an atmosphere reminiscent of a Moroccan riad or a Santorini courtyard, intimate, tactile, and deeply evocative.
A generous free-form swimming pool anchors the garden, its teal-toned water contrasting beautifully against the warm white hardscape. Organic white stone islands float within the pool, sculptural stepping elements that add a playful, artistic dimension to the water feature. A curved built-in lounge, upholstered in neutral outdoor fabric and set directly alongside the pool, creates a seamless indoor-outdoor living zone of exceptional comfort and elegance.
The planting palette reinforces the Mediterranean character, mature olive trees, Bougainvillea, tropical palms, and cascading climbing plants soften the architecture and bring the garden to life with texture, color, and fragrance.

Interior Design & Build
The interior continues the villa's warm, organic character, natural materials, earthy tones, and artisanal detailing that create a cohesive narrative between inside and out, making Desert Living Villa a home of genuine personality and soul.
