Ather Villa is a luxury villa landscape redesign located in the prestigious District One community, Mohammed Bin Rashid City, Dubai. VM Design • Build was commissioned to transform the villa's outdoor spaces into a richly layered, experience-driven garden environment, one that offers multiple distinct atmospheres within a single, cohesive design narrative.

Landscape Design
The concept is built around a Multi-Sensory Garden philosophy, a landscape that engages through contrast, texture, and atmosphere rather than a single dominant feature. The design organizes the outdoor spaces into a series of connected yet distinct zones, each with its own character and purpose.
An outdoor cinema terrace anchors one end of the garden, a large projection screen set against a clean white wall, flanked by a built-in fireplace and intimate lounge seating, creating a cinematic open-air experience that comes alive after dark. A covered outdoor living pavilion with timber ceiling, ceiling fan, and lounge seating provides a shaded all-day retreat. A sleek swimming pool with organic curved edges and in-pool sunbathing ledge forms the centerpiece of the garden, surrounded by refined stone paving and lush planting.
A standout feature of the design is the desert garden zone, a dramatic composition of mature specimen cacti, sculptural succulents, and arid-climate plants that introduces a bold, unexpected contrast to the lush tropical planting elsewhere in the garden. A dedicated steam and wellness corner with arched detailing and warm ambient lighting completes the program, a private retreat within the retreat.
